• The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the following set of approvals. The important Cabinet Approvals are given as follows-The Cabinet has approved- 

  1. Redevelopment of Railway Stations by IRSDC as Nodal Agency, through simplified procedures and longer lease tenure.
  2. MoU between India and Russia on Bilateral Cooperation in the Road Transport and Road Industry,
  3. MoU between India and Russia on cooperation in the field of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,
  4. Second Protocol amending the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) between India and Singapore,
  5. Establishment of National Institute of Mental Health Rehabilitation in Sehore District instead of Bhopal,
  6. Enhanced Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi Crops of 2018-19 Season to be marketed in 2019-20 Season.

  • Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA, has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all Rabi crops for the current financial year which will be marketed in 2019-20 season. The MSP of wheat has been raised by 105 rupees per quintal,  Masur by 225 per quintal, and Gram by 220 per quintal.

  2.  MoU between India and Romania in the field of tourism.
  3. Closure of National Jute Manufactures Corporation Ltd. and its subsidiary Birds Jute & Exports Ltd.
  4. Productivity Linked Bonus for Railway Employees.
  5. Memorandum of Cooperation between India and Finland on Environmental Cooperation.
  6. Establishment and operationalisation of permanent campuses of the Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research (IISERs) at Tirupati and Berhampur.
  7. Merger of National Council for Vocational Training, NCVT and National Skill Development Agency, NSDA to establish National Council for Vocational Education and Training, NCVET
  8. Closure of Biecco Lawrie Limited. 
  •  The Union Cabinet has approved the merger of the existing regulatory institutions in the skills space - National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) into the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET). 
  • The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the following set of approvals. The important Cabinet Approvals are given as follows-
  1. Signing and ratification of Extradition Treaty between India and Malawi.
  2. Creation of one post of Director in the basic pay of Rs. 2,25,000/- (fixed) plus NPA but not exceeding Rs.2,37,500/- each for new AIIMS at Rae Bareli, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Guwahati, Bilaspur and Deoghar.
