•  Ministry of Defence awarded contract for design, construction and supply of four Survey Vessels for Indian Navy to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Limited, Kolkata. The order value for these four vessels is Rs. 2435.15 crore.

  • During the visit of Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, India has agreed for the deputation of experts in five fields to assist Zimbabwe. Around 6 agreements in various fields were signed in areas including Mining, Visa waiver, Broadcasting and Culture.India will extend Line of credits of more than 350 million US Dollars to Zimbabwe for two power projects and a drinking water project. India will give about 3 million US dollar grant for upgradation of Indo-Zim Technology centre. 
  • The Ministry of Tourism signed an MoU with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Government for the Republic of Korea for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism in New Delhi.
  • a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Manipur government and IL&FS Township 
    and Urban Assets Limited and Pricewaterhouse Coopers Pvt.Ltd. for implementation of Smart City Project 
    in Imphal.
  • India and Malawi have signed three MoUs on Extradition Treaty, cooperation in the field of Atomic Energy for peaceful purposes and VISA Waiver for Diplomatic and Official Passports. India will also extend a new Line of credit of 215 million US dollars to Malawi for 18 water projects.
  • India and South Korea signed an MoU on cooperation in sports in New Delhi.The objective of the MoU is to establish a framework to facilitate and promote cooperation between the two countries on the basis of reciprocity and mutual benefit.
  • United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group have formed a strategic partnership to support efforts eliminate hunger globally by 2030.  Under this Alibaba will lend its cutting-edge technology and resources to support digital transformation of WFP’s operations.
  • State-owned NBCC (India) Limited (formerly National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited) has signed an agreement with the Health Ministry to acquire Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation (HSCC).Earlier NBCC had stated that it will buy out the government's stake in consultancy firm HSCC for Rs 285 crore. HSCC, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, provides consultancy services in healthcare and other social sectors in India and abroad.
  • The Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) has signed an agreement with US-based Research Institute for Fragrant Materials (RIFM) for improving the quality of fragrant oils. 
  •  India and Morocco have signed an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. The agreement will strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance effectiveness and provide a broad legal framework for prevention, investigation, and prosecution of crimes.  It was signed by Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and Morocco Minister of Justice, Mohamed Aujjar in New Delhi. 
  • Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd (ISPRL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abu Dhabi with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to explore the possibility of storing ADNOC crude oil at ISPRL’s underground oil storage facility at Padur in Karnataka, which has a 2.5 million tonne capacity.
  • Morroco & India signed an agreement to further mutual legal assistance in Civil & Commercial Courts.The agreement will enhance co-operation in the service of summons, judicial documents, letters of request and the execution of judgments decrees and arbitral awards.
  • As part of the European Union (EU) project ‘International Urban Cooperation’Kochi Corporation and Vilnius, Lithuania, have signed an MoU. The primary focus of cooperation would be urban planning, corporate planning, transport, solid water management and water management.
  • An MoU for the partnership between Department of Biotechnology and Cancer Research UK (CRUK) for the India-UK Cancer Research Initiative has been signed in New Delhi.The India-UK Cancer Research Initiative is a collaborative 5-year bilateral research initiative that will focus on affordable approaches to cancer. Both countries will invest £5meach in this 5-year pilot and seek further investment from other potential funding partners.
          • The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the State government of Odisha signed the MoU at the Kalinga Stadium complex in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.  Odisha will host National team camps while also becoming the home of the I-League side Indian Arrows, according to the MoU.
          •  The Kerala state government had signed an MoU with Airbus BizLab to open a state-of-the-art innovation center. This center will be the nodal body for planning and executing all the activities to help start-ups. Bizlab is a part of Airbus’ innovative strategy to bring together start-ups and Airbus intrapreneurs to work and speed up the transformation of their innovative ideas into valuable businesses.
          • The President of India Ram Nath Kovind was on 2 nation Visit to Vietnam and Australia. On first leg he visited Vietnam. Following the talks,4 MoU’s were signed between the two nations: 
          1. The MOU between Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications and the Indian Ministry of Communications on cooperation in the field of Communications.
          2. The MOU on cooperation between Vietnam’s Department of Foreign Affairs and the Indian Business Chamber in Viet Nam (INCHAM).
          3.  The MOU between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Ha Noi, Vietnam and the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
          4. The Cooperation Agreement between Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
          • After visiting Vietnam, President of India Ram Nath Kovind was in Australia on his second leg of 2-Nation visit.  He became the first Indian President to visit Australia. 5 MoUs were exchanged in the field of disability sector, education, trade-investment, scientific cooperation, agriculture and on higher education focussing on PhD by both the nations. Mr Kovind also unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Parramatta in Sydney. The President addressed the International Business Summit 2018 organized by Australian Financial Review on Australia-India economic engagement.
          • The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its partnership with Google to offer the fans a great viewing experience of the upcoming semi-finals and final of the ICC Women's World T20 to be held in West Indies.
          • State-run Airports Authority of India (AAI) has inked an agreement with the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to develop a roadmap for modernization of its air traffic services.  The collaboration is aimed at developing a CNS/ATM roadmap for the AAI for modernization of the national airspace system (NAS).
          • IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has signed an MoU for energising the startup ecosystem in East and Northeast India.  IIMC Innovation Park CEO Subhrangshu Sanyal stated that the MoU will bring incubator and industry together in a more formal way.
          •  India and China have signed a protocol to amend the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
          • India and China have signed a protocol on hygiene and inspection requirements for the exports. The commerce ministry stated in a statement that a protocol on hygiene and inspection requirements for the exports was signed in New Delhi.
          • Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), 15 Janpath, New Delhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, signed the MoU to facilitate and enhance research activities and policy formulation aimed at Socio-economic Transformation and Sustainable Development.
